Maternity Care
Antenatal Clinic
This clinic is for patients who are booked at the Royal Free Hospital only and are held every week by the Community Midwife. This is by appointment only.
Patients that are booked in at other hospitals will need to check with their selected hospital as to how they see their midwife.
6-8 Week Checks
These are undertaken by Doctors. If you and your baby have been given a 6-8 week check appointment. Please ensure that the surgery have received your baby's registration form prior to the appointment.
Postnatal Checks
This will involve a general examination of the baby and discussion with the mother. Any issues arising will be dealt with in this session. All session are an hour long.
Please ensure that you have your Red Book with you when attending the baby clinic
Community Baby Hub
A Community Baby Hub offers a drop-in between 2pm and 3.30pm on Tuesdays for patients of Keats Group Practice and Park End Surgery
- Talk about your child’s development and how you can confidently contribute to this.
- Take part in health promotion activities including accident prevention, oral health, baby feeding and weaning.
- Enjoy health promotion and child development themed sessions.

Childhood Vaccinations
All routine child vaccinations, listed on the NHS vaccination schedule, are provided free of charge. Further details can be found by clicking here
Vaccinations are administered by our Practice Nurse
Child Immunisation appointments available, in practice on an appointment basis with appointments being able to be booked up to 2 weeks in advance.
Usually babies should have had their 6-8 week check before having their first immunisation.
Appointments to be booked via our Patient Services Team either by phone or face to face
Please bring along your child's Red Book and ensure you report to reception prior to your appointment.
Long Term Conditions
For Patients with conditions such as Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Airways disease, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Heart Failure, Chronic Kidney Disease, Epilepsy and Severe Mental Health, you will be offered an annual review. You will be sent a questionaire to complete and then invited for a review with our Health Care Assistant for further tests such as Blood pressure, Weight , Urine and Blood tests. You may then be invited for a further review with our Physician's associate or one of our doctors to discuss the results. This will either be by telephone or face to face.
Free NHS Health Check for 40 – 74 year olds
If you are between the ages of 40 & 74 without a pre-existing condition you are eligible for a Free NHS Health Check which will check your circulatory and vascular health and what your risk of getting a disabling vascular disease is.
Appointments are with our Healthcare Assistant and can be booked via our Reception team.
Adult Vaccinations
65 and over
- Flu (every year)
- Pneumococcal (PPV) vaccine
70 years (plus anyone aged 71, 72, 78 and 79 in September 2015 as a catch-up)
- Shingles vaccine
There are some vaccines that aren't routinely available to everyone on the NHS, but that are available for people who fall into certain risk groups, such as vaccines for pregnant women, people with long-term health conditions, and healthcare workers
Additional vaccines for special groups include:
- flu jab for pregnant women
- whooping cough vaccine for pregnant women
- flu vaccine for people with long-term health conditions
- hepatitis B vaccination
- TB vaccination
- chickenpox vaccination
