New Medication

Ordering New Medication

You may need to request a new medication that is not one of your repeat prescriptions. This might be a medication you have had in the past or a medication to treat a new condition. You can request new medication from a GP in one of the following ways:

  1. To request a new medication, submit a request through Accurx here. This is the fastest way of having this dealt with. Filling out an Accurx request will allow a GP to assess your condition and decide what to prescribe. They may respond to your Accurx request with a prescription and a text message, or they may call you for a telephone consultation or offer a video consultation. Please note: a GP will respond to your Accurx request by the end of the next working day.
  2. You may email the surgery at parkend.surgery@nhs.net with the relevant information and attachments of clinic letter or prescription.
  3. If you cannot use Accurx or email, please call our reception team. They can make you an appointment with a doctor.
