NHS Covid-19 Vaccination Programme
The NHS Covid-19 vaccination programme is now underway in the UK. All of our eligible patients will receive an invitation to be vaccinated. Please do not call the Practice to make an appointment as we cannot make Covid vaccination bookings. You will will be sent a link on your mobile to book your second vaccination a week before it is due. We cannot give more notice as delivery dates need confirmation .Please keep us updated of any change to your mobile telephone number. Please do not ask for the vaccine to be given earlier than 12 weeks as the supply is controlled and this would cause delays for other patienst. We have no further information at present about vaccination certificates
The Government and the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation ( JCVI ) announced on Friday ( 14th May 2021 ) that second dose appointments will be brought forward from 12 to 8 weeks for those aged 50 and over and who have yet to received theirs.
Nobody needs to contact the NHS
Those who have their second dose booked in the next ten days, up to and including 24th May, should attend their appointment as planned.
People who should have their second dose brought forward do not need to contact the NHS. The NHS will let them know when they can rebook
Over 50s change in timings (20th May)
